The Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project received California Coastal Commission approval in November of 2022. The Coastal Development Permit includes 20 conditions of approval that must be satisfied prior to construction. The California American Water team continues to work on satisfying the conditions of approval to the Coastal Commission Coastal Development Permit. This effort is expected to take about two years and the California American Water Team remains on schedule to satisfy these conditions by late 2025.
